POSITION: Director
DESCRIPTION:

Selected by a jury of industry professionals, the directing ensemble will include 8 qualified candidates with any combination of the following:

  • A recognized track record directing low budget dramatic films, TV or video projects (long or short form), or
  • A recognized track record directing documentary, experimental video, TV specialty format, etc. or
  • Some directing experience, crossing over to directing with a recognized set of highly transferable skills (performer, producer, writer, AD, etc.).

Diversity and regional access are also among selection criteria. SCHOLARSHIPS

POSITION: Actor
DESCRIPTION:

Up to 10 ACTRA actors are selected. 

The Acting Ensemble is dedicated to helping the director participants develop new and better ways of communicating the story. In the safe learning environment actors can give and receive feedback, and also learn from each other while they practice their craft.

POSITION: WorkStudy/Volunteer Crew
DESCRIPTION:

Up to 24 Work-Study / Volunteer crew will be selected for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on professionally run productions in a safe learning environment. Positions required include:

  • Trainee Assistant Directors
  • Art Department (Set Dec, Props)
  • Sound Department
  • Camera Trainees
  • Grip/Electric Swings
  • Production Sound / Boom Op.
